Green Zara Stripes and River Boats
Yesterday with the sun shining I had a real urge to be on the water. Living in Surrey, there aren’t too many places to find water but after a quick Google we stumbled across Farncombe Boat House on the River Why in Godalming.
I’d been looking for an excuse to wear this beautiful Zara green stripe dress for a few weeks and this was the perfect day. Off the shoulder, and flared sleeves, this dress is perfect for floating down a river in whilst catching some rays.
Nowadays I find I can spot a Zara dress a mile away – they are so distinctive. I had two women come up to me to ask where it was from yesterday as they loved it so much. I never wear green. In fact I don’t think I have anything else green in my wardrobe. I’m not sure what made me order this dress in that colour but I’m going to wear it more often.
As with most Zara dresses on me, I find them all to be a bit on the short side. (I think it’s due to my long body!) I always have to wear shorts underneath to give me the confidence to wear them. Having said that, this dress looks just as good over jeans or leggings too for days when it’s not hot enough to go bare legged.
Yesterday I teamed this with some brown sandals which were from Warehouse last year but they have a similar pair for 2017 HERE. With my RayBan sunglasses and THAT Pom Pom Zara Basket Bag which is all sold out.
Floating down the river in the sunshine with my husband was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It’s days where we make the effort to do random activities/ things we wouldn’t normally do that I love the most. Making memories.
What’s your favourite way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
