Now that the ‘Beast From The East’ has finally left the UK, I feel like we can all start to focus and look forward to Spring again! The weather does feel noticeably warmer and I can’t seem to stop myself looking at high street shops and saving lots of gorgeous clothes and accessories to my ‘saved items’ and bookmarks ready to buy with my next pay day.
This season it seems that powder pinks and polka dots are everywhere. Last year’s gingham has been replaced with wider check patterns and stripes and I can’t get enough of straw circle bags. Florals are a Spring staple and they of course are still making an appearance this season.
I fell in love with this Pink Pointelle jumper when I saw it on Liv Purvis but it’s all sold out (don’t you hate that!!). Luckily, there are two very similar ones on the high street right now. This one from Nobody’s Child is absolutely gorgeous and then there is Sezane’s version at the higher end of the budget scale. Both look so soft and perfect for Spring.
H&M are absolutely killing it at the moment for me. I want everything in their Spring line. My favourites are this Floral Chiffon Blouse which would look perfect over jeans and some mules. I bought this Smock Polka Dot Midi Dress last week (currently in the sale!) and it goes well with a thin waist belt to give it more of a silhouette. It also looks great dressed up with some heels or down with some pumps.
Coming on to pumps, I have been wanting a pair of Old Skool monochrome Vans for a while now but it seems like so many people have them at the moment. I have been after an alternative and these Converse One Stars are absolutely perfect!
Not forgetting accessories, my favourites are this gorgeous and unique Cage Bag by Zara. This would look so cute with a Spring dress. Last year I couldn’t get enough of hair turbans and this Stripe Hair Scarf also from Zara is perfect to accessories a simple outfit. Hoop earrings are also a must this year. I bought this thin gold pair from & Other Stories last week too and haven’t stopped wearing them since!
